Saryu Eco Club

Gujarat Ecological Education and Research Foundation (GEER FOUNDATION), is an autonomous body set up in 1982 by the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of Gujarat. This foundation along with the National Green Corps is working to conserve the natural resources to create an Eco friendly environment. Under the guidance and leadership of National Green Corps SARAYU ECO CLUB was created in SVM school in June to create awareness of bio diversity conservation and local environmental issues and to create green consciousness among children through various activities. 70 students have become members of this club out of which 30 are from Primary section and 40 from Secondary and Higher secondary section. The club is and will be under taking various activities in the whole year to fulfill its mission and vision. Some activities undertaken by the club are-

World Bio Fuel Day

World Bio Fuel day is marked to create awareness about the importance of non-fossil fuels as an alternative for the energy sector. Members of Sarayu Eco Club formed under the aegis of SVM school, took an initiative to prepare vibrant charts highlighting the need and future of bio fuels and the rationalized use of the depleting and polluting fossil fuels.

Swachhata Pakhwada

The Ministry of Education, Department of School Education & Literacy, organizes Swachata Pakhwada every year to encourage and inspire students to continue with the good practices of hygiene and sanitation in school as well as home.SVM School took up the initiative like a mission and did her best to instill a sense of cleanliness among students. A plethora of activities were planned and executed. The program that spanned for two weeks started with a ‘Swachata Pledge’ taken by students along with the director and the staff.

Bird Rescue Programme

A very interesting & informative programme was presented by Akash Patel, Mrugesh Shah, Prachi Patel, and Ankur Patel from ‘Rescue and Rehab Foundation’ on 26th December 2023 in SVM Higher Secondary School, Bharuch. Students of Std 6 to 9 attended the session and learnt many things. They comprehended that birds are important members of many ecosystems. They play a vital role in controlling pests, act as pollinators, provide fertilizer in agriculture and maintain ecology.

Vasant Panchami

Vasant Panchami marks the arrival of spring and is dedicated to goddess Saraswati, the goddess of arts, learning and knowledge. The festival was celebrated with joy and positivity in the campus of the school. The idol of goddess Saraswati was adorned with hues of yellow symbolizing the blossoming of the mustard flowers and the onset of the spring.

2019

National Youth Day

The birthday of Swami Vivekananda is celebrated annually on 12th January as National Youth Day. The day aims to honour the contributions of the youth and promote their role in nation building. This day is a reminder of Vivekananda’s vision, inspiring young minds to channel their energy towards constructive and positive endeavours.

SVM school celebrated the occasion merrily and organized some events for her students to encourage them to explore their talent, foster leadership skills and to engage them in community service.

A ‘Nukkad natak’ on ‘Pariksha pe charcha’ was presented by the students of Std 11 where the requisite to listen the tips given by the Prime Minister of India was presented.
