Fancy Dress Competition

Our school arranged a Fancy Dress Competition on 7th Dec 2018. All the pre Primary students had to dress up like our community helpers and they did so happily and enthusiastically. They came dressed up like doctor, policeman, hairdresser, pilot, soldier etc. They played their role strikingly. Winners were selected from the bunch of participants.

Christmas Celebration

On 24th December, our school celebrated Christmas. The students decorated the school with Christmas tree, colorful buntings, toys and flowers. Santa clause came and gave chocolates. Children spread cheer with their smiles and lovely attire. Everybody prayed for love and peace in this world.

26th December, 2018

Picnic

A picnic was arranged for the students of 6, 7, 8 and 9 Std on 26th December. Students were taken to Dev’s camp in Panchmahal district which is an adventure park. Students enjoyed Go carting, sky walk, rope climbing, adventure rides, trekking and bird’s house thoroughly. For 11th Std a picnic was arranged to Saputara. It’s a hill station with pleasant atmosphere and many attractive sites to behold. Students specially liked the rose garden and other lovely gardens. A museum showcasing the lifestyle of the local people, their houses, their eating habits etc was visited by the students in which models of clay were displayed. Boat riding was one of the many other attractions of the place. In the evening students rushed to sunset point & viewed the beauty of the setting sun. Horse riding, camel riding, bike riding were other activities of entertainment. The journey to Saputara & back was in itself a reason to cherish.

Sports Day

Sports play a major role in making the bogy healthy and mind refreshed. SVM school organised Sports day in the month of December for all the sections of the school. Various age appropriate sports events were organized for the students. Flat race, hurdle race, frog race, 100m race, 200m race, shot put, relay race are a few to mention. Sports, being favourite of all students, were thoroughly enjoyed by them.

Uttarayan

The kite flying day or Uttarayan falls on 14th January every year. It is also celebrated as "Makar Sankranti". The ‘International Kite Flying Festival’ is also held in Gujarat. Our school celebrated this festival with our Pre-primary students. Kites were distributed among them by the school management with the motive to teach them how to celebrate Uttarayan without harming the environment and birds around them.

Annual Function

The Annual day function of SVM school was organized on 19th January in Swami Atulanandji hall. The theme this year was the folk dances of India. Students from CDC to XI Std performed folk dances. The Chairman of S’ad Vidya Mandal trust Shri Mukul R Thakore graced the occasion and presided the function.

Republic Day Celebration

Every year Republic day is celebrated by SVM trust in the campus of J P College. This year students of SVM School presented an array of programs on this pious occasion. Students presented a remarkable display of march past, patriotic songs & dances. The freedom fighters and martyrs were remembered and the achievers in various fields were applauded.

2nd February, 2019

Send Off

A fare well function was organized for the students of X and XII on 2nd Feb 2019 in Atulanandji auditorium. The Director motivated the students with his inspirational speech and gave success mantras to the outgoing students. He advised the students not to be under pressure of the coming exams and be prepared in advance. Certificates were given to the winners of different competitions. A short entertainment programme was prepared by the students of IX and XI for their seniors.

World Mother Language Day

‘World Mother Language Day’ is observed annually across the world to commemorate the importance of mother tongue and its cultural and linguistic importance. Our school observed the ‘World Mother Language Day’ on 21st February , 2019. Various activities were organised to mark the occasion including storytelling, poem recitation and essay writing. Students were told the importance of mastering a language and the importance of communication in today’s world.

Holi Celebration

Holi the festival of colours. It is celebrated with great joy all over India in the honor of Prahlad’s victory over the Demoness “Holika”. It represents the victory of good over evil. Our school celebrated Holi on 20th March with our Pre-Primary students. Water guns were distributed among them by the school management. They threw colors on each other and took greatest pleasure of the occasion.

Health Check-Up Camp

A Government health check up camp was organized in the campus of SVM School to check the general health and well being of all the students. Health workers checked the height, weight and other basic health parameters of the students and gave necessary advice to them. They also them the need and importance of maintaining general health and hygiene. Queries of various students were personally resolved by them.

Visit To Blood Bank

Students of our institution visited the Indian Red Cross Blood Bank at Sevashram road to know about the various activities related to blood collection and storage. Dr. Khilwani, Head of Indian Red Cross Blood Bank and his staff gave a very informative lecture session and allowed the students to visit all departments of the blood bank. Students were acquainted with the procedure of blood collection and testing of various blood groups. Live demonstration on tapping blood , the compatibility test of donor’s and patient’s blood by slide serum test, preserving the blood and then passing it to people in need were few other activities explained to them. They were told about the myths related to blood donation. Students were taken to the Microbiology Lab which tests the donor’s blood with minimum 5 test including HIV, Malaria, Jaundice, Syphilis…etc. If these all tests are negative then that blood is stored between 2 to 4°C in their laboratory. After visiting all departments there was question answer session between Dr. Khilwani and students.

Polio Day

Our school organized Polio day on 11th March 2019. The medical staff came from civil hospital to administer polio drops to our children. All the Pre Primary children, six years onwards, had the polio drops under the supervision of Divya B Patel & Payal V Dodia.

Science Fair

On 16th and 17th of February a Science Fair was conducted in GNFC by NarmadaNagar Community Science Centre(NSCE). Our school took part in various events held there.

Grand Parents Day

As we seek to strengthen the enduring values of the family, it is appropriate that we honor our grandparents. Grandparents are our heritage and are essential members of our families and communities. That is why, a special day, grand parents’ day is celebrated every year in our school to make them feel that they are quintessential in the development phase of their grand children. That was a special day for children to spend some time with their grandparents in school. On 22nd February 2019 our school arranged Grand Parents day for the grandparents of Pre-Primary Section and on 23rd for the grandparents of Primary section kids. All the grandparents were invited to celebrate the day. The day started with the lighting of lamp which was done by the grandparents. Then the prayer song was sung by our students. Our Principal madam welcomed them and thanked them for marking the event with their presence and making the celebration grand. Our Director Sir addressed everyone with his beautiful words. A bunch of beautiful poems, songs, stories on grandparents and their love, were performed by our kids . The grandparents enjoyed a lot by playing musical chair, singing songs and playing passing the parcel. They gave certificates to winners of various competitions. This day leaves an imprint in the mind of students as well as their grandparents forever. The day ended with snacks and refreshments.
